Data security and processing
Paulina follows the principles of GDPR-compliant data processing and applies strict data minimization. It accesses AI providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) via API integration, but is hosted in the EU.

Chat Interactions
are technically built for short-term retention, unlike other providers. Sessions are immediately deleted at the end of a communication with a user. Chat interactions are ephemeral by design. Sessions are deleted when communication ends. Cached technical data is automatically removed within 24 hours. No long-term conversation histories are maintained.

This behavior is implemented technically, not manually.

Use of Third-Party AI Technology
Paulina’s technical backbone relies on third-party AI technology (OpenAI API). This dependency is stated openly. 

Paulina does:

• - Control or modify the underlying AI model
• - not use teacher content to train its own AI models
• not monetize transferred data 

Like most modern AI applications, Paulina uses established infrastructure rather than proprietary models. Details are transparently documented in the Data Protection Declaration and the policies of the third-party providers used.

No Training, No Resale
Teacher inputs are not used to train AI models and are not sold, licensed, or reused by Paulina.

European Hosting
Platform Infrastructure is hosted in European data centers. The hosting provider is IONOS (EU). This supports European data protection standards and legal accountability.

Generated materials are individually provided as downloadable documents. Teachers may:

• - Copy them for their individual professional use
• - Share them with colleagues in an educational context

Commercial resale or licensing of generated materials as well as use by groups or organizations is not permitted.

For individual professional use, usage decisions remain entirely with the educator. Paulina provides support tools, not professional judgment or legal responsibility.

Change, Choice & Exit Technology
Relationships and platforms evolve. If conditions change, users are informed transparently. Participation is voluntary, cancellation is possible at any time, and payment conditions are communicated clearly. Trust includes the freedom to leave.

Paulina is an AI-based educational companion. Trust is maintained through clarity, openness, and restraint. We prefer transparent limits over vague assurances.
